In pictures: Phygital Contenders Astana 2026

Phygital Contenders, the final qualifying stage for Games of the Future 2026, ended with both celebration and heartbreak for the more than 200 competitors who took part. Held in Astana, Kazakhstan from 10-14 June, competitors from over 20 countries battled it out across three disciplines – Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball and Phygital Dancing – to book their spot at the biggest tournament in phygital sport. Five days of non-stop action finished with champions crowned, and final line-ups confirmed. Here’s just a few highlights.
